HIB Foundation, LCSC honor Meridian guitarist

Spokane resident and guitar business owner Frank Trowbridge, who grew up in Meridian and graduated from MHS in 1966, has been selected for inclusion in the Idaho Band Archives & Repository that will soon be part of the History of Idaho Broadcasting Foundation’s web site. On January 30th, he and six others were honored at the Lewis & Clark State
College Center for Arts & History in Lewiston in a Retrospection on the Rock & Roll History of the 50s, 60s and 70s.

During his career, Frank played with Spencer Davis, The Coasters, The Drifters, Wildman Fisher, Hank Thompson, Albert Collins, Ferlin Huskey and played guitar on the Bachman Turner Overdrive “Not Fragile” album and two BTO Greatest Hit albums for a total of three platinum albums. He also recorded on the Homer Joy and Buck Owners hit song “John Law,”
did commercials for CBS, NBC, FOX, The Movie Channel and more and recently produced his first album, “Faded,” by the Gary Frank Project (classic R&B).

For 15 years, he has owned GuitarFranks Repair Service in Spokane and says he has been clean and sober for 28 years and supports/mentors others.
